The Dark Work of Nocturnal Moth Pollinators
Thursday, July 16, 2026
11 a.m. Central / 12 p.m. Eastern
Preview:
After the sun sets and many of us wind down for the day, many moths are just waking up for the night. Most moths are well adapted to feed on flower nectar, and many flowers have evolved to take advantage of their visitation and behavioral patterns to reproduce. Join me while I discuss moth pollination from its believed origins to current research to learn more about this incredibly valuable and terribly understudied ecosystem service. We’ll also spend some time on how to observe and document these night-time animals for science, appreciation, and enjoyment!
