Derrick Stowell is the Education and Horticultural Therapy Program Administrator for the University of Tennessee Gardens in Knoxville, where he has worked since 2012. A Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and registered Horticultural Therapist (HTR), Derrick has developed and led numerous education and horticultural therapy programs. He served on the Board of Directors and as President of the American Horticultural Therapy Association and received the American Horticultural Society’s Horticultural Therapy Award in 2022. An accomplished speaker and leader in his field, Derrick is internationally recognized for his expertise in therapeutic gardening and program development.
